Description
The Court House is a mid- to late 18th-century house, altered in the 19th and 20th centuries, situated within a row. The construction is of coursed ironstone rubble, with a slate roof and a brick ridge stack. The house follows a two-unit plan and presents a three-window facade over two storeys. A 20th-century plank door is set within a wooden frame, sheltered by a shallow stone hood supported on large, moulded corbels. A blocked doorway is located in the left corner. Carriage doors are present on the right-hand side, with a blocked opening featuring a stone flat arch above. The windows are 2-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. Smaller one-light windows are positioned to the right and above the front door. All windows have wooden lintels. The building is included on the list for its group value.
