Description

The shop lock on the Grand Union Canal, located approximately 7 meters north of Cottage Number 221 in Long Itchington, dates from the early 19th century. It was restored in the late 19th century and again around 1930. The structure is made of blue brick and concrete, featuring wooden and iron gates, as well as four cast-iron ground paddles. This lock is included for its group value.
