Description
Glebe Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with roughcast cladding on a plastered rubble plinth, topped by a steeply pitched old tile roof with a brick stack at one end. The building has a two-unit plan, with the gable facing the street and a late 20th-century wing extending to the right.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a two-window range, along with a single-storey wing on the right. The entrance to the wing features a late 20th-century door, and the windows are late 20th-century two-light casements. The gable end facing the street has a window on each floor, with the ground floor window being a later insertion. At the rear, there is a window in what was once the entrance, flanked by additional windows.
Inside, the cottage is noted for its exposed timber-framing and a restored fireplace with a bressumer.
