Description
This is an outbuilding range located approximately 20 meters northeast of Leasowes Farmhouse, dating from the mid-19th century. The structure is built of squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and features slate roofs with a brick end stack. The central area has a large segmental-headed archway, flanked by barns on either side, each with double plank doors set in segmental-headed openings with pentices. To the left, there is a stable with a plank door in a segmental head. Extending forward from the left side are a coach-house, wood shed, and lavatory range, all with plank doors. On the right side, there is a cow byre and cartshed range, which also has plank doors and two segmental-headed arches. Above these is a granary. Inside, the building has rubbed brick lining and some stone-flagged floors, along with original fittings such as wooden mangers, a coachman's fireplace, and a wooden two-seater lavatory. The outbuilding range is included for its group value.
