Description
Leeson House is a house built around 1835, with later additions at the rear. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with buff headers and features a brick dentil cornice. The roof is slate, and there are brick end stacks topped with 19th-century square chimney pots. The house has a central staircase plan and stands three storeys tall, with a three-window range. The entrance has a late 20th-century panelled and glazed door, framed by a moulded wood doorcase that includes pilaster strips with Soanian incised ornament, an entablature, and a cornice. The windows are sashes, with six panes on the second floor, set under painted rusticated stone lintels with key stones. The interior has not been inspected. The house is included for its group value.
