Description

Vine House and the attached stable were built in 1777, although parts may date back earlier. The stable was added in the 19th century. The left side and part of the right return side and rear of the house are made of coursed squared ironstone, while the front and the rest of the building are constructed from brick, featuring a partly Flemish bond pattern and a brick plinth. The front displays an indented brick string course and a brick dentil cornice throughout. The roofs are a mix of old tiles and 20th-century tiles, with brick-coped gable parapets and kneelers, as well as partly renewed brick end stacks.

The house has a central staircase plan and consists of two storeys with a three-window range. The entrance features a six-panelled door with an overlight that has glazing bars. The windows are 19th or 20th-century twelve-pane sashes with brick segmental arches, while the door and first-floor window have cambered arches. The left range is at a lower level and includes a door on the left and a two-light casement window with glazing bars that has been inserted into a doorway on the right, both supported by old wood lintels. The interior has not been inspected. The stable includes a stable door with a wood lintel and a small window with a cambered arch, along with a 20th-century casement window above.
