NAPTON ON THE HILL GODSONS LANE SP4661 10/67 Vine House and attached stable

House and attached stable. 1777, but possibly with earlier origins; stable C19. Left range and part of right return side and rear of coursed squared ironstone; front and remainder of brick, partly Flemish bond; brick plinth. Front has indented brick string course. Brick dentil cornice throughout. Old tile and C20 tile roofs have brick coped gable parapets with kneelers; partly-renewed brick end stacks. Central staircase plan, storeys; 3-window range. 6-panelled door and overlight with glazing bars. C19/C20; twelve-pane sashes. Brick segmental arches; door and first floor have cambered arches, Left range at lower level has door on left, and 2-light casement with glazing bars inserted into doorway on right. Old wood lintels. Interior not inspected. Stable has stable door with wood lintel and small window with cambered arch. C20 casement above.
