Description

The Tudor Guest House is a house dating from the 16th century, with alterations from the 17th century and later. It features a timber-frame construction with plastered infill and has gabled roofs covered with old tiles, along with a brick cross-axial stack. The building has a two-unit plan and a double-gabled cross-wing at the right end.

The exterior is two storeys high and has a five-window range. The cross-wing juts out and has later supporting posts. The gables are adorned with 19th-century bargeboards and finials. The entrance on the left side of the wing has a 20th-century battened door flanked by leaded lights, while another entrance further left features a 20th-century half-glazed door.

On the left end, there is a window with a three-light small-paned casement that includes an iron opening casement. To the left of the wing, there is a 20th-century three-light leaded casement, and a similar four-light casement is found on the right half of the wing. The first floor has three windows of varying sizes, all with two-light small-paned casements that include iron opening casements, while the wing has two larger windows with three-light casements. The ground floor and the right half of the first floor of the wing display close-studded framing, as does the first floor on the left end. The remaining sections, including the gables, are square-framed with slender scantlings. The interior has not been inspected.
