Description
Heming House is a house located in Henley-in-Arden, dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries, and a partial refronting in the 20th century. The building features a timber-frame structure with brick refronting and has a steeply pitched old tile roof with brick stacks at the rear. It has a three-unit plan that includes a formerly jettied cross-wing.
The exterior consists of two storeys and a three-window range. There is a brick cornice at the center and right, along with wide eaves. The central entrance is recessed and has a 20th-century door with a gabled canopy above; an exposed jetty bracket is visible on the left return. On the ground floor, there are two small segmental-headed windows with three-light casements, while the first floor has one window to the former jetty with a three-light casement and two smaller windows with two-light casements to the right. The casements feature iron opening casements, with one having shutter pegs. The wall studs and arched bracing are exposed on the left side of the first floor, indicating the jettied wing, which has underbuilding and a rebuilt front to the right. There is also a rear wing with a cross-axial stack. The interior has not been inspected.
