Description

Vine Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century, situated on the High Street in Henley-in-Arden. It is constructed of brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, topped by a gabled roof covered in machine tiles, with a brick stack located at the ridge. The house follows a two-unit plan.

The exterior is two stories high with a two-window front. A modillioned brick cornice runs along the top. The entrance features an Adam-style doorcase, which appears to have been moved from another location. It has panelled pilasters with decorative features, an entablature with circular ornaments at each end of the frieze, and an open pediment with relief decoration including sphinxes, an urn, and decorative garlands. The door itself is a six-panel design, with two glazed panels. The ground floor windows have rubbed brick arches above 10/10 sash windows in wide, flush frames. First floor windows are larger and feature three-light casements with small panes.

The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
