Description

This is a row of three houses located at 132, 134, and 136 High Street in Henley-in-Arden. They date from the 17th century, with 18th century and later alterations. The houses are timber-framed with painted brick infill and some brick refronting. They have a gabled old tile roof featuring a brick stack at the front of the ridge and two stacks at the rear.

The buildings are two storeys high and have a three-window range. The left end, No.136, has brick refronting and a modillioned brick cornice. There are three entrances, each with moulded frames and bracketed canopies over plank doors. No.132, at the right end, features a canted bay window with a hipped roof and small-paned glazing to the right of the entrance. No.134 has a window with a canopy over a three-light small-paned casement to the left of its entrance. No.136 has a segmental-headed window with a similar canopy and casement to the left of its segmental-headed door.

On the first floor, there are two windows with two-light small-paned casements with iron opening casements, and a window with a three-light casement to the left end. The square framing is set on a plastered plinth, with braces to the wall plate and a narrow bay at the right end, likely infill. There is an enriched bell pull at No.134. The interior has not been inspected.
