Description
This is a row of eleven headstones located approximately 6 meters south of the southeast corner of the south aisle of the Church of St. Michael. The headstones date from the late 17th century to the early 18th century and are made of carved and incised ironstone. Six of the headstones feature incised shield panels. The second headstone from the left is dated 1684 and has a scrolled pediment with ornament and swag. Three headstones on the right display cartouches and winged heads, with the third headstone from the right dated 1719. This headstone features a shaped cartouche with a festoon and a second oval cartouche. The rightmost headstone has a shaped cartouche and two heads. These headstones are included for their group value.
