Description

Farmhouse. Built in the early 18th century. The front facade is limestone ashlar, while the rear is of coursed rubble. It has a plinth, parapet, and horizontal bands running up the exterior. The roof is covered in stone slates with coped gables and stone stacks at each end. The house is arranged in three main sections, and has three bays with a three-window front. It has 12-pane sash windows on the ground and first floors, and 9-pane sashes on the second floor. All windows are surrounded by moulded stone and have keyblocks. The central entrance has a 6-panelled door with a decorative fanlight, set within a moulded stone surround with a keyblock. Inside, there is a large open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer. An open-well staircase rises to the second floor, featuring stick balusters and an inlaid newel.
