Description
Combe House is a house built in the early 19th century, with possible origins in the 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone, featuring quoins and coped gables. The roof is made of stone-slate and has stone end stacks, with the right stack rebuilt in brick. The house has a three-unit plan and is two stories high, with a four-window range that includes 12-pane and 8-pane horned sashes, all with chamfered stone surrounds. At the center, there is a two-storey gabled porch that has a painted-arched doorway and a four-panelled door, flanked by two chamfered lights. At the rear, there is a 19th-century two-storey range made of stone and brick. Inside, there are 19th-century panelled doors. The building is included for its group value.
