Description
Mount Stewart Cottage is a late 18th-century building that was originally two separate cottages. It is constructed from coursed ironstone and features a concrete tile roof, with brick stacks at both ends and a stone ridge stack topped with a brick shaft. The cottage has a five-unit plan and stands two storeys tall, with a four-window range. Each former cottage has a central, flush, four-panelled door and a 19th-century trellis porch with a shaped fascia. The left side has ground floor windows with two and three lights, featuring horizontal glazing bars, and above are three-light leaded casements. The right side has three-light casements with glazing bars. Throughout the building, the windows are topped with painted wood lintels. There is a windowless range on the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
