Description

Bayards is a barn range, dating to the 18th and 19th centuries, which has been converted into a house in the late 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone with irregular quoins. The roof is covered in old tiles, with a hipped section to the right; the left section has been re-tiled in the late 20th century. A late 20th-century brick ridge stack is present. The front elevation, facing Bridge Street, features a slit window on the right-hand side and three roof lights. The right return side has three slit windows, and a window has been inserted. A barn doorway has been partially blocked, with a window inserted in the upper part. The left return side includes a 19th-century fixed window with two lights. The rear of the building, facing the yard, exhibits late 20th-century windows, garage doors, and other alterations. The interior was not inspected.
