Description

This is a barn located immediately east of Billesley Manor Hotel, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed from coursed blue lias rubble and features a steeply pitched old tile roof, comprising four bays.

On the north elevation, there is an entrance to the threshing floor at the left end, which includes a plank door and a wooden lintel. To the right, a wide window has a brick segmental head above a five-light casement with leaded glazing. There are also a two-light casement with latticed lights and a three-light window with glazing bars and a small opening casement. The elevation includes two pitching holes. The lower wing at the west end has extensive alterations from the late 20th century and features a projecting bay.

The south elevation has an offset buttress at the west end, which supports a segmental-headed entrance with paired doors. There are segmental-headed windows in the gabled wing, featuring latticed glazing and a pitching hole, as well as another segmental-headed entrance with paired doors. To the right, there is a barn entrance that lacks doors, along with a projecting open-fronted shed. The altered wing includes a loggia and a rubble end bay with a pitching hole in the gabled dormer, a 20th-century window, and an entrance.

Inside, the barn features a trenched purlin roof, while the shed has trusses with curved principals.
