Description
Alne Cote is a cottage located on Great Alne School Road, dating from the 17th century with 20th-century alterations and additions. The building is timber framed, featuring lath and plaster along with whitewashed brick infill. It has thatched roofs and brick ridge stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan and has been significantly extended, with its gable facing the road. It is one storey with an attic and has a one-window range. The entrance includes a plank door and a thatched open porch. A 20th-century thatched canted bay window is present, along with 19th and 20th-century casements throughout, some of which have glazing bars while others feature leaded lights. The right return side has a canted bay window and a casement. The interior has not been inspected.
