Description
This barn, located approximately 13 meters north of Salter's Well Farmhouse, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone, featuring quoins and coped gables, and has a stone-slate roof. The barn consists of seven bays. On the front, there is a large opening with a quoined surround to the center right, and a smaller opening with a wooden lintel and a stone flat arch to the center left. There are corresponding openings at the rear. Inside, the barn has a pegged through-purlin roof with collars and a stone-flagged threshing floor.
