Description

This is a barn dating from the early 18th century, located approximately 5 meters east of Hill Farmhouse and attached to another barn. It is constructed of squared, coursed limestone with coped gables and features a slate roof. The barn consists of six bays. On the center left, there is a large opening with a corresponding opening at the rear. To the center and left, there is a round window and a stable door opening with a wooden lintel between, flanked by two small square openings. There is an additional doorway at the far left, and small square ventilation holes are located on either side of the large doorway.

Attached to the right is a late 18th-century barn, also made of squared, coursed limestone, with a coped gable and a stone slate roof, consisting of five bays. This barn has been rebuilt in brick to the left of a large opening, which has a corresponding opening at the rear. A small doorway with a wooden lintel is found in the brick section, and there is a dentilled brick eaves cornice at the rear.

Inside, the main barn features a pegged queen strut roof with collars, although the original purlins have been replaced. The attached barn also has a pegged queen strut roof with collars and retains its original purlins. The threshing floor is made of stone flags.
