Description
Tidmington House's coach house and stable block, located approximately 50 meters north of the main house, dates from the early 19th century. It features a limestone ashlar facade with coursed rubble behind and a stone slate roof with coped gables on kneelers. The building is one storey high at the ends and two storeys at the center, comprising a five-window range in a U-shaped plan with a slightly projecting gabled central bay. Designed in the Tudor Gothic style, the central section has a large plank door with an overlight and moulded surrounds. On either side, there are large double plank doors set in moulded Tudor arches, along with single plank doors at the far left and right. Between the central door and the flanking doors is a two-light mullioned window. The first-floor hayloft features four cusped lights with hood moulds and label stops on each side of the central gabled bay, with a quatrefoil positioned between the two lights on each side. Above the central doorway is a window with a moulded architrave.
