Description
Thatch Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, constructed of regular coursed limestone rubble, with part of the attic floor rendered. It features a steeply pitched thatched roof and a brick ridge stack. The building has a three-unit plan, is a single storey plus attic, and has a three-window range. The entrance, located to the right, has a 20th-century plank door with a wooden door frame and is sheltered by a thatched rustic porch. To the right of the entrance is a two-light wooden mullioned window with an opening light, while to the left are a three-light wooden mullioned window and a tall two-light wooden mullioned window, both with wooden lintels. The cottage also has three eyebrow dormers and a 20th-century extension at the rear. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace, stop-chamfered beams and joists, and a plank door.
