Description

Green Farm is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of squared, coursed limestone with quoins, and has coped gables and a stone slate roof. The roof features stone ridge stacks, with brick flues added in the 19th century. The house is two storeys plus an attic, with a five-window front. The layout follows a four-unit plan. A large, 20th-century stone gabled porch is located centrally, incorporating a 20th-century panelled door and a casement window above. A re-set datestone, inscribed "H/RK"1758", is positioned above the porch. Cross casement windows, set within stone flat arches, are present in all four openings on both the ground and first floors. There are two 19th-century gabled dormers in the roof. A long range extends to the rear; the lower portion is of 18th-century stone, while the upper portion is brick with a stone slate roof and a stone ridge stack. The interior is said to contain beams.
