Description
Mill House is a house that has been converted into two cottages, dated 1732. It is probably made of limestone, now rendered, and features a stone slate roof with brick ridge and end stacks. The building has two storeys plus an attic and a three-window range, following a three-unit plan.
On the left side, there is a 19th-century six-panelled door with a pilaster surround and a pediment supported by consoles. In the centre, there is a 19th-century canted bay window. To the right, and above three first-floor openings, there is a 19th-century three-light casement window. The building also has three 19th-century gabled dormers.
To the left, there is a two-storey brick-rendered range from the 19th century with a slate roof, featuring two 12-pane sash windows on each floor. In the 18th-century range, there is a stone moulded datestone in the centre inscribed 'JCE/OF N/1732'. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
