Description

This is a group of nine headstones located approximately 6 meters south-southwest of the southeast corner of the nave of the Church of All Saints. The headstones date from the late 17th century to the early 18th century and are made of carved and moulded ironstone.

The first headstone, from the late 17th century, features a moulded shaped top with a winged head and pilasters. The second headstone, dating to the early 18th century, has a moulded segmental top and a convex circular panel adorned with a wreath and flowers below. The fourth headstone, from the late 17th or early 18th century, also has a moulded segmental top with a winged head and a panel framed by an eared and shouldered moulded architrave. The fifth headstone, dated 1673, has a steep scrolled top, a convex oval panel, and pilasters. The sixth headstone, from the early 18th century, features shrouded heads and both small and large cartouches. The eighth headstone, dated 1669, has a triangular top with scroll finials and a winged head, along with a moulded sunk panel and an inscription to Richard. The remaining headstones in the group are not considered to have special architectural interest.
