Description

A pair of houses located on High Street, Henley-in-Arden, dating to approximately 1820. The buildings are constructed of brick with a slate roof and brick end stacks. The design is symmetrical, incorporating a through passage.

The exterior presents a three-story, symmetrical two-window facade. There is a top cogged brick frieze. Steps lead to a central round-headed entry, featuring a plank tympanum and a studded plank door. Flanking entrances include doorcases with friezes and bracketed hoods over four-panel doors. Ground floor and first-floor windows have rubbed brick cambered arches above three-light casements with small panes, the first-floor casements being iron. Second-floor windows have square segmental-headed arches and similar two-light casements. A small window is located in the left return.

The interior remains uninspected.

These houses represent a good example of early 19th century housing.
