Description

This is an 18th-century house that was later used as a public house, and is now converted into flats. It has 19th-century additions and alterations, with further changes in 1992. The building is constructed of painted brick with a renewed tile roof and a substantial brick stack at the centre. It has a three-unit plan.

The exterior is two storeys plus an attic, with a three-window front. A brick plat band runs above the ground floor, and a deep, dentilled brick cornice sits at the top. The entrance is within a gabled porch on the left side, featuring a plank door in a wide pegged frame. Flanking the porch are canted bay windows; the left one has a 2/2:8/8:2/2 horned sash window, the right one has an 1:3:1-light small-paned window. The window on the right end of the facade is a 2-light casement, currently boarded. The first floor features large windows with 2-light, small-paned horizontally sliding sashes. There are two renewed gabled roof dormers with 2-light small-paned casements, flanking a smaller triangular roof dormer to the right of the stack.

The interior has not been inspected.
