Description

Three houses, dating from the 1840s, forming part of the early 19th-century development of the south side of Stratford-upon-Avon. They are built of brick with buff brick headers and stucco dressings, with a slate roof and brick end and cross-axial stacks. The houses are two storeys and have a five-window range, creating two symmetrical facades.

Numbers 6 and 7 have a pair of entrances with moulded doorcases including panelled pilasters, and overlights. The overlight to number 7 has margin lights, both leading to 20th-century doors. A frieze and cornice runs over flanking canted bay windows with 4:16:4-pane sashes. The first floor has a window to the left with a sill and a rusticated wedge lintel over a 16-pane sash; the two windows to the right are 20th-century replacements with small-paned casements. Number 8 has a central entrance with a moulded doorcase featuring paterae and a cornice, overlight with margin lights to a 6-flush-panel door. Its windows have sills and rusticated wedge lintels with keys over 16-pane sashes.
