Description

Blunt's Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse that consists of three houses, dating from before 1649, likely from the late 16th century or early 17th century, with later additions and alterations, including extensions to the right and rear made in 1939. The building features small timber-framing on the right gable end with reddish-brown brick infill, and the front facade is also made of reddish-brown brick, topped with a plain-tile roof. The layout is a three-unit lobby entrance plan that has been extended to form an L-shape with a rear wing and outshut.

The exterior is single-storey with an attic and has a three-window range. The original front faces the garden and features a 20th-century door located to the right of center in a moulded wood frame under an elliptical arch. There is a 20th-century canted bay and casement windows on the ground floor, with the two windows to the left set under elliptical arches. The roof has three gabled dormers, a dentilled eaves band, a ridge stack, and is half-hipped to the right. A farmer's fire insurance mark is visible on the first floor above the door.

Inside, the farmhouse retains exposed timber-framing in the partition walls, chamfered beams with ogee stops in the ceilings, and board doors. It is believed that there is wattle and daub in the roof space along with some original roof timbers.
