Pair of town houses. 1820s, No.18 with 1905 alterations. Brick with stucco dressings; slate roof with brick cross-axial stacks and end stack. Double-depth plan. Georgian style. 2 storeys; 4-window range. Top modillioned brick cornice. Entrance to No.19 has doorcase with moulded pilasters and bracketed cornice, overlight to 6-fielded-panel door; that to No.18 is to return. Windows have sills, and rubbed brick flat arches with keys over 12-pane sashes, but No.18 has 2 canted bay windows with cornices and hipped lead roofs over 2:4:2-pane horned sashes, 1st-floor windows with painted lintels over 4-pane horned sashes. Segmental-headed entry in short wall to right end. Left return has entrance with pilasters, frieze and bracketed hood; 4-pane horned sash to each floor. College Street is part of the development of the land on which the medieval priests' college stood until 1799, in an area of good quality early C19 housing.
