Description
60 and 61 Waterside are two town houses, likely built in the 17th century, with a refronting from around 1800. They are constructed of brick, with No. 61 on the left featuring buff headers, and have a tiled roof with brick end stacks. The buildings are two storeys high and have a two-window range.
No. 61 has a platt band over the ground floor and a top modillioned brick cornice. Its entrance features a segmental-headed design with a 20th-century stable-type door, located to the left of a segmental-headed window that contains a three-light small-paned casement with an iron opening casement. The first floor has a smaller window with a small-paned horizontally sliding sash.
No. 60 has an entrance with a gabled canopy above a half-glazed door, positioned to the right of a canted bay window topped with a hipped roof and small-paned glazing. The first floor features a segmental-headed window with a two-light small-paned pegged casement that includes an iron opening light. The attic has a large gabled dormer with a three-light casement.
Inside, the buildings are noted for having some exposed beams and timber-framing.
