Description
No. 16 Rother Street is a town house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 18th century and has undergone some alterations over time. The building is finished in stucco with a tiled roof and features a two-unit plan. It stands two storeys high and has a two-window range. The façade includes a plain plinth and a platt band, along with a top frieze and cornice. The entrance, located to the right of the centre, features a doorcase with reeded pilasters and a consoled open pediment, with a blind overlight above a 20th-century glazed door. To the right of the entrance are recessed garage doors. The ground floor window has a sill and a plate glass horned sash, while the first floor has windows with 12-pane sashes set in timber architraves. Inside, there are some cornices present on the ground floor.
