Description
Quinton Cottage, also known as Admirals House, is a house located on Bridge Street in Kineton. It dates from the 17th century, with 18th century and later alterations. The exterior features lined stucco and a gabled old tile roof with brick end stacks. The building is L-shaped, with a single-storey addition on the right side.
The cottage has two storeys plus an attic and presents a symmetrical two-window range. A top dentilled brick cornice adds detail to the façade. The entrance is marked by a fluted doorcase that includes angle paterae and a cornice above a half-glazed door. The windows are 2-light small-paned casements, and the addition has a similar window. The attic features two gabled roof dormers, each with 2-light casements, one of which is leaded and the other small-paned.
The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have ground-floor window shutters and a large open fireplace.
