Description
This building, originally a house and now a shop occupied by Top'n'Bottom Bistro, dates back to the 18th century, with 19th-century wings and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, with the front painted. The roof is made of old tiles, featuring coped gables and a brick end stack, while there are brick wings to the right and rear. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. There is a plat band above the ground floor. The entrance and shop windows, which are of 20th-century design, are set in tessellated panels and include a large fascia board. The first floor features windows with 6/6 sashes that have thick glazing bars. A single-storey wing to the right includes a 20th-century garage door, and the rear wing has a lateral stack. The interior has not been inspected.
