Description

Three houses, located at 6, 8, and 10 Church Walk, Wellesbourne Mountford, were originally built in the 17th century and were significantly altered in the 19th century. They are timber-framed with brick infill between the framing timbers, resting on a stone plinth at the ends and rear. The rear and ends are of brick, while the front is also brick. They have gabled slate roofs with brick end stacks and an additional stack along the rear ridge. The houses are arranged on a four-unit plan.

The exterior is two storeys high, with raised eaves on the right-hand side of number 6. There are three windows visible across the front elevation. A segmental-headed entrance is located to the left of the centre, at number 8, and features a 20th-century door. A similar entrance is present to the right of the centre, at number 6. The ground floor windows have sills; those flanking the left entrance have 6/6 sashes, each with a horn. To the right of the left entrance, there is a small window and a 6/6 horned sash. The first floor has a window with a two-light casement to the left of centre, and two similar windows to the raised right-hand portion.

On the left return is exposed timber-framing adjacent to the external stack. There is a gable and a catslide outshut to the rear; an entrance is located on the right-hand side of number 10. The rear elevation has small lights with iron opening casements. A rear outshut is present on the left-hand portion.

The interior of the houses was not inspected during the listing process.
