Description

A row of four cottages dating from around 1770, located in Clifford Chambers. The cottages are built of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a renewed tile roof and brick stacks, including a cross-axial stack and a rear ridge stack. The two-storey, five-window facade of the row has a top modillioned brick cornice. The entrances and ground-floor windows have segmental heads. Most windows are leaded casements with iron opening sections. Number 14 has a double-fronted design and a half-glazed door set between a four-light and three-light casement on the ground floor, with matching three-light casements above. Numbers 15 and 16 feature plank doors situated to the right of two-light casements on both floors, while Number 17 has a 20th-century half-glazed door alongside a 20th-century three-light casement. A 20th-century garage is positioned at the left end. Some windows contain crown glass. The interior of the cottages was not inspected.
