SP17SW DOCTOR'S HILL 652-1/2/133 (East side (off)) Cow house with hayloft approx. 20m south-west of Leasowes Farmhouse

GV II

Cow house with hayloft over and pigsty or kennel to rear, now beast house. Probably mid C18 with later alterations. Reddish-brown brick in English garden wall bond with gabled plain-tile roof. EXTERIOR: 3 bays. Central entrance has split plank doors under elliptical arch between elliptically-arched openings with slat covers. Cart opening inserted to gable end; plank pitching door above. Low rear range has blocked semi-circular arched openings. Single storey extension on left end. INTERIOR: original board floor has gap for pitching hay to floor below, 5 pegged queen-post collar-rafter roof trusses visible. All the listed buildings at Leasowes Farm form a group.
