Cow House With Hayloft Approximately 20 Metres South West Of Leasowes Farmhouse

This is a cow house with a hayloft located approximately 20 meters south-west of Leasowes Farmhouse in Tanworth-in-Arden. It is likely from the mid-18th century and has undergone some later alterations. The building is constructed of reddish-brown brick in English garden wall bond and features a gabled plain-tile roof.

The exterior consists of three bays. The central entrance has split plank doors set under an elliptical arch, flanked by elliptically-arched openings that have slat covers. There is a cart opening inserted into the gable end, with a plank pitching door above it. The low rear range has blocked semi-circular arched openings, and there is a single-storey extension on the left end.

Inside, the original board floor includes a gap for pitching hay to the floor below, and five pegged queen-post collar-rafter roof trusses are visible. All the listed buildings at Leasowes Farm form a group.
