Description
This is a cowhouse with a hayloft, dating from the late 18th century, located at the right return of Home Farmhouse in Worsbrough Village. It is constructed of thinly-coursed sandstone and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and five bays, with large quoins. On the left side, there is a quoined waggon entrance with a keyed basket arch that provides access to the farmyard. To the right, there is a bonded door surround with a deep lintel that has been converted into a window, with an inserted casement to its right. The first floor has two square, rebated hatches. The roof is set lower than that of the adjoining house and was noted to be in poor condition at the time of the resurvey. This cowhouse is included for its group value with the surrounding buildings.
