Description
Fir Tree Farm is a farm building that was originally a cottage and stable, dating from around 1780. It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone and features a simple cornice. The roof is made of corrugated iron and has coped gable parapets, along with a stone stack at one end. The building consists of a one-unit stable on the left and a two-unit cottage. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window range. The stable includes a doorway with a chamfered stone lintel and jambs, along with a window to the right. The cottage has a 20th-century plank door with a plain stone lintel. The windows on the right and first floor have stone lintels with flush keystones, and there are remains of casements. The left return side features a hayloft door. Inside, the stable is brick-lined and has a chamfered ceiling beam.
