Description

Barcheston Bridge is a bridge over the River Stour, with a datestone inscribed 1698. It has medieval origins and was later widened. The structure is built from large blocks of coursed squared ironstone and limestone, with a parapet and repairs made in blue and red brick. The bridge features six pointed arched bays and one additional round-headed arched bay, along with tie bars and stone coping.
