Description

This is a late 18th-century sandstone ashlar gate pier, located approximately a quarter of a mile south of Combe Abbey. The pier is rusticated, with a plinth at its base. The top panel is decorated with festoons, flutes, and paterae. It was formerly listed as “Gate Piers Combe Abbey”.
