Description
The gate piers at Fullarton House date from the mid-18th century and are made of cream sandstone ashlar. They consist of a set of square-plan gate piers with circular-plan piers on the outer left and right, which originally marked the entrance to Fullarton House.
The inner gate piers feature polished plinths and channelled ashlar on the corniced shafts, which have been partially repaired. Above these are corniced square-plan pedestals with consoled brackets centered on the side facets, topped with square-plan caps. The gates themselves are missing.
The outer piers are circular-plan, although they were not fully visible as of 1997.
