Description
No 25, located on the west side of Market Place, dates from around 1900. The building features a stucco exterior with decorative timber framing on the upper floors, while the ground floor is finished in red brick with ashlar dressing. It stands two storeys high with attics and has a gabled tiled roof that includes two gabled dormers. The upper floor is adorned with two oriel bay windows that have mullions and transoms, while the ground floor windows also feature stone mullions and transoms. A plaster panel set in the upper wall displays a crown surrounded by foliage. This building is included for its group value with No 20A, Nos 20 to 25 (consecutive), and No 1 North Street.
