Description
23 and 24 Market Place are mid-19th century buildings designed in the Italianate style. They are constructed of stucco and rise to three storeys. The façade features a sill band, an entablature with consoles supporting the cornice, and a balustraded parapet. There are five casement windows with architrave surrounds, each topped by segmental pediments on consoles. The top floor has two-light windows in plain surrounds. The ground floor has been altered with a modern office front. These buildings are part of a group that includes No 20A, Nos 20 to 25 consecutively, and No 1 North Street.
