FILLONGLEY BROAD LANE SP28NE (South side) 6/14 Grove Cottage and eye-catcher at east end, and house adjoining on the rear. - II House and adjoining eyecatcher. Late C18. Red brick, Flemish bond with plain-tiled gabled roof and end stack. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys. 2 first floor flush frame casements, the heads flush with the eaves. Central doorway in gabled brick porch having pointed outer arch with late C20 glazed door but original fanlight with Y-tracery. Similar tracery and pointed arches to 2 casements flanking the doorway. One rear window is similar. The eyecatcher at the east end is of red brick. 2 storey canted bay with tall blind loop openings to the return walls and a parapet above surmounted by cylindrical chimney with brick cornice and similar loop openings. House adjoining on rear. Early C19. Red brick, random bond. Hipped roof, plain-tiled and ridge stack. 2 unit plan. Cellar, and 2 storeys. Original openings and late C20 windows to 3 first floor windows. The centre window is blocked. Central doorway has a round headed arch and a flush panelled dour,
