Description

The Baddesley Ensor War Memorial is a structure made of Aberdeen granite, standing approximately 3.5 meters tall. It features an obelisk topped with a laurel wreath in relief, which rests on a rough-hewn plinth. The plinth is adorned with polished plaques that display inscriptions in black lettering. These inscriptions read: "1914 -1919 TO THE MEMORY OF THE MEN OF BADDESLEY ENSOR WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR. THEY DIED THAT WE MIGHT LIVE." followed by names of the fallen, and "1939-1945" with additional names. The plinth is supported by a two-stepped rough-hewn stone base.
