Description

This is a cottage dating from the late 16th century, with a 19th-century addition on the north-west side. The original structure is timber-framed and colourwashed, featuring a plain-tiled roof with an end stack. It has a two-bay plan and stands two storeys tall. There is one 19th-century wood casement window on the first floor and one on the ground floor. The posts have jowled heads and upward bracing. The 19th-century addition is made of brick, also colourwashed, and has a plain-tiled roof with an end stack. This addition is also two storeys high and includes one first-floor casement window. There are segmental arches above two 20th-century wood casements on either side of the doorway, which is framed by a gabled lattice work porch and a plank door.
