Nos 1 and 2, known as The Thatched Cottages, are 17th century buildings located on Maxstoke Lane in Meriden. They feature a timber frame construction with modern red brick nogging and a thatched roof. The cottages are one storey high with attics and have three casement windows that include glazing bars. The upper windows are situated beneath the curves of the thatched roof.
