Description
Riverside Cottages is a row of timber-framed cottages dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The cottages are one storey with an attic and feature irregular window arrangements. They have thatched roofs that are half-hipped and include eyebrow dormers, along with a central shafted stack. The middle section of the row displays exposed framing that is bricknogged, while the ends are finished in painted brickwork. At the south corner, there is a chamfered wall that curves into a single-storey outshot with a hipped tile roof, which continues as a boundary wall with a cement plinth. The cottages have casement windows, and the entrances are located at the rear, or garden side, with modern doorways.
