SU 45 NE ECCHINSWELL & SYDMONTON HIGH STREET 7/16 Riverside Cottages

C17, C18. A row of timber-framed cottages, extended at each end at the later date; one-storey and attic, irregular fenestration. Thatched roofing, half-hipped and with eyebrow dormers; central shafted stack. The middle section has exposed framing, bricknogged; the ends are in painted brickwork. At the south corner there is a chamfered wall, curving as a single-storeyed outshot (with a hipped tile roof), and continuing as a boundary wall; cement plinth. Casements. Entrances are at the rear (or garden) side, with modern doorways.
