Description

Burnside is a small house dating from the late 18th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It features a symmetrical front (east) with one storey and an attic, and has two windows. The house is topped with a thatched roof and includes eyebrow dormers. The walls are constructed of red brick in English bond, with a first-floor band and a cement plinth. The south gable is tile-hung, while the north gable displays exposed timber-framing above the eaves. The windows are sashes set in exposed frames. There is a modern brick and tile porch, as well as a southward extension.
