Description
No. 14 Austrey Road is a house dated 1775, which was raised at the front in the early to mid-19th century. It is built of Flemish bond brick with rendered string courses, and features an old plain-tile roof with a coped parapet at the front and brick end stacks. The house has a central staircase plan and stands three storeys tall with a three-window range. The symmetrical front includes a mid-19th century four-panelled door with an overlight, panelled reveals, and a rendered Doric porch supported by pilasters and columns. The ground and first floors have late 20th century top-hung casements, and the openings have been altered, possibly in the 19th century. The lower second floor features 8-pane sashes and a central 6-pane sash, with all openings having rusticated rendered flat arches.
